What to do in Tulum?


Riviera Tulum has a privileged location in Tulum, Quintana Roo, close to impressive natural beauties, Mayan archaeological sites and other points of interest to enjoy with family.

Beaches

The closest beaches are located 9 minutes by car and 25 minutes by bicycle. Playa Maya: due to its beauty, this is one of the most photographed beaches in Tulum.

It is located a few minutes from Tulum’s archaeological site, and you can access it by foot to enjoy its beautiful turquoise blue waters and white sand beach.

Kin Ha Beach: this is another of the most beautiful beaches in Tulum. A hotel with the same name is located here, so to access it you must rent chairs for the day and consume food and drinks.

Playa del Mirador: this is a public beach that you can access by the Tulum-Bocapaila highway.

Cenotes

Cenotes are unique natural freshwater ponds that are supplied by underground rivers. It is estimated that there are over 2,500 of these formations throughout the Yucatan Peninsula.

They are one of the main natural attractions to visit in the Riviera Maya, as its crystal clear and refreshing waters are ideal for swimming. In addition, they are surrounded by incredible nature.

Close to Riviera Tulum you will find the following cenotes: Cenote Calavera: located right in front of the entrance/exit to our Riviera Tulum development. It is known because international divers have been certified in its caves.

Gran Cenote: located about 5 minutes from Riviera Tulum, it is the most famous cenote in the area. It is 33 ft (10 m) deep and the natural light that illuminates it allows you to admire its underwater stalactite and stalagmite formations.

Cenote Carwash (also known as Aktun Ha): located 8 minutes from Riviera Tulum. It is one of the most fun cenotes, as it has a wooden platform to jump into the water.

Cenote Zacil Ha: located 15 minutes from Riviera Tulum. It is ideal for snorkeling and diving, as it has a cavern known as "Las lágrimas" (the tears) for its stalactites that have the shape of drops. This cenote communicates underground with the Calavera and Carwash cenotes.
